Ooh, this is lovely. The opening lines are gorgeous (Pat Benatar reference!) and I like how the song/lyrics reference rolls through into a reference to the concert (the B&L thing) and then an acknowledgement from them both that they're playing with their body language at the end. It's all about performance and how the truth is made visible through performance but it's not necessarily tangible. At least, not yet.
On the plains of his heart the question is a sword held up to the sun, catching its light and glinting.
This line is amazing. I think I read it half a dozen times before I moved on. It just gives so many images of Yunho's personality and the way he perceives himself. Plus it's so poetic and chansons geste, and ugh excuse me while I push the analogy, but this whole ficlet does feel very chansons geste now I think about it, the knight and his untouchable 'lady' who misconstrues and then considers and then surrenders. I think that's what I like most here, it's very gentle(manly). It's just lovely.
