You don’t need him.
His voice isn’t the thing that keeps you sane; his touch does nothing for you. You aren’t supposed to feel this way anyway, you aren’t supposed to think too much.
He isn’t the very air that you breathe. He isn’t the one thing that keeps you grounded, isn’t the thing that you can hold onto when it feels like everything else is slipping away. Of course not. Of course you don’t need him.
He doesn’t mean anything. It isn’t like that. No, no mother, of course not. It was just an act, nothing more. Don’t worry.
