[Mod] [discussion] Other comms or this comm?

I think LJ changed a setting and I'm now getting posts to the comm held in a queue for moderation. It's not a big deal -- I read them and can accept or reject them. A few have been spam posts, so it's good that I can reject them before they litter your screen!

But some have been from DBSK fans -- an outline of a story someone would like written, a fiction post, etc. I feel a little bad rejecting them, but this comm is set up specifically for drabbles and flashfic written for prompts.

Are there other DBSK fic communities active and accepting new submissions? I assumed there were, but none of the ones I knew about or were on have been active in years. (To be honest, dbsk_flashfic is the only DBSK comm I read now. It's still my corner of happiness in this fandom that broke my heart. ♥) If you can recommend active DBSK fic comms, please leave a comment!

It's a little early, but I was going to post about the comm's future eventually. We're running out of prompts. When that happens (in a couple of months), I was going to open the comm up for drabbles and flashfic. The comm would become a general DBSK fic comm at that point. My idea was to keep the comm close to what it is now and only accept drabbles and flashfic one-shots. No long fics or WIPs. I'd put up the list of past prompts as inspiration.

That's what I'd been thinking, but I was going to ask you all if you're okay with that. And now, if there aren't any active DBSK fic communities accepting longer stories, then should the comm become open for fic of any length?

Ideas and input welcome!

In the meantime, we got a bunch of new prompts, so the community will stay as it is for a while yet. You can PM me if you have more ideas about this topic.
