Summary:It's a mixed up, crazy, kind of world which love doesn't make any more sane.
A/N: My first time posting here, I'm still trying to sort everything out. ^^
A boy from the country and a boy from the country met carelessly in the city.
Yunho stepped off the train reeking of sunny skies and small-town naivety. Immediately he was propelled into a maze of steel and sweat. The city spewed smoke and belched noise, with a constant heartbeat under his feet like a living thing. Ba-bump ba-bump ba-bump.
Jaejoong was floating quietly through a busy intersection, hopelessly lost, with gum stuck to his shoes. His shirt billowed around his skinny waist, and if the wind pushed any harder it might have swept him away. Flowers bloomed in the cracks of the sidewalk, tugging on Jaejoong's sneakers and sending him toppling into Yunho. Inertia stopped Yunho in his tracks as he tried to dislodge Jaejoong from his abdomen. Like a gasping fish, Jaejoong mouths words that can't make it past his teeth; his face is completely red. Yunho just laughs a booming laugh and cuffs Jaejoong on the shoulder, almost knocking him to the ground again. Then he offers to treat Jaejoong to lunch and give him his heart.
"Hey," said Yunho with a curl of his lips. "Did it hurt when you fell from heaven?"
On the corner of Main Street and 5th Avenue Yunho and Jaejoong are skyrocketing towards the sun at an alarming rate. Lunch finished, Jaejoong's still hanging around and for some reason Yunho is still letting him. They're in the tower elevator after a day of wandering in and out of buildings across the city. It doesn't really matter where or when, because neither of them have any other place to go. They stand on opposite sides of the elevator feel the pressure building to a crescendo in their ears. They rise higher and higher, pulled by and invisible cord. The more clouds the two of them leave behind, the more they start to feel like they're flying. If Yunho stares through the floor with his x-ray vision he can probably see their inhibitions falling back to the ground.
"Hey," said Jaejoong, "Let's draw our own constellations, and I'll make you see stars."
Jaejoong laughs when he sees his reflection in Yunho's eyes, and reveals a set of tiny white teeth. His laugh is spectacular and real. A spark is lit, igniting the tension in the room. The elevator floor shakes, Yunho falls into Jaejoong, who falls into Yunho, and for a moment they let themselves fall for each other.
A breath in. Time stops and lips crash. Cheeks brush and two hearts pump blood to the very ends of intertwined tingling fingertips. Something like lightning strikes and everything becomes electric. A breath out.
Then gravity brings them back down to Earth.
