Changmin's hand hurts.

"Are you giving up?" Jaejoong asks.

"No," Changmin says. He turns to a new sheet in the notebook.

Jaejoong sits on his windowsill with an apple. The only outside light that reaches the room is what filters around his dark-clothed body. He asks, "Are you tired?"

Aggravated murder case. Shot his girlfriend twice, loaded her into the trunk of his car, alive, and drove her to the river.

Jaejoong bites into his apple. Are you tired?

Changmin looks at the first name written on the white page. He doesn't count the forty seconds anymore, only begins another.
