Author's Notes: I usually don't write DBSK fic, so... I'd really like feedback about the characterization.
The fact that there is a certain universal limit to anything good that may happen in your life had long occurred to Jae Joong, before he made it and was busing at a second job. During break in the night shift he would watch the orange embers of his cigarette rise desperately up to the sky swollen with stars.
He was going to outlast them all, for sure. The heavens may be something of the infinite sort, but Jae Joong was always a dreamer. So when his boss clattered out, reprimanding him for smoking, for taking too long a break, he apologized profusely, crushed the butt of the smoking end, and moved to enter the restaurant. He dully wondered how the life span of a cigarette compared to that of a star, and how much he was worth to get there.
So Jae Joong stayed outside and had another one.
