He was always a bit careless. Losing his keys, losing his balance, losing the tempo when they were supposed to sing a capella, together, and not un-together, like Jaejoong tends to do when his mind wanders.

“Keys?” he’ll say, ’cause Jaejoong’s always been a little mouthy, “You’ve got the keys to my heart,” and you’ll never disagree with his logic like that; that balance is a matter of happiness tumbled upside down on a morning like this, all clumsy and fleshy and humming, when your hearts beat all together, and not un-together.

“I’m careful with you,” he’ll concede, and laugh.
