Pairing: YooSu. But it's more Junsu centric...
Rating: PG
Summary: Junsu loves the piano's song.
Author's Notes: The title is kinda random... regarding the story. xD
Ever since he was little, Junsu found that he would be touched by the chords of a piano. The crisp and flowing notes ranging from high to low, from happiness to anger. Whenever he hears the piano playing, he’ll have the urge to sing and cry and laugh. His lips will part, tears will form, and a smile will appear. He will stand, mesmerized at the way the pianist’s fingers run across the keys to bring forth that wonderful sound. He’ll be amazed how a single song can move the feelings deep within him. He’ll feel weighed down by the emotions, but happy nonetheless to have had the chance to listen to yet another bittersweet symphony.
Junsu stands at the ocean’s edge, eyes closed as the waves wash up over his feet. He spreads his arms out wide and feels the gentle breeze swaying with him. It’s a feeling of complete bliss, and yet all the sad and happy memories reside in his mind together, side by side. The morning air is the best thing, he thinks. It’s slightly cool, and the world is still asleep. The sky is dim and he stands alone, free to enjoy life as it was meant to be. Then a single note sounds in distance and Junsu slowly opens his eyes, arms at his sides. He has his head thrown back, eyes taking in the breathtaking sunrise as he listens to the piano’s beautiful song.
It’s a sad song, or rather a song that greatly resembles one’s life. It starts off to an upbeat and crisp tone, a happy sound that puts smiles on people’s face. Then it dips a few octaves lower and the tune carries on slower, portraying the hardships of life. Then there is a crashing of sounds, noise and anger from the pianist’s fingers as they run across the keys to a frenzied rage. The notes are harsher, loud enough to jolt you upright. But if you listen closely, you’ll find hints of sorrow in those livid notes. If you listen closely you’ll find the agony in that anger, and the sense of defeat. The song slows again, still sad and powerful, but lighter notes start finding their way in. A few more keys and the song has picked up its lively beat again, although this time it is more reserved, more mature in the joy it intends to bring across to the listener.
The last note echoes and Junsu closes his eyes. The song starts again and this time Junsu sings, random words tumbling from his mouth along with those subtle hums. He feels the joy, the anger, and the sorrow. His voice carries to all those ranges, all those emotions as something inside him begins to ache. Life, he thinks. The song gradually becomes a wordless one, and he only hums along with the tune. His voice is strong, carrying out that captivating feeling so wonderfully. The last note sounds again and a calm silence sets in.
The song doesn’t start up again but Junsu continues to listen intently, until he can hear the soft padding of feet on the rough sand. His smile has once again found its way onto his face as the sound of footsteps becomes closer. Arms are thrown around him as a whispered ‘I love you’ is lost to the wind.
Junsu replies, just as sure, “I love you too.” Yoochun behind him laughs a bit, hugging the younger boy. He turns Junsu around and brings their lips together. They kiss, taking in everything the world has to offer them. Then they break off, staring at each other for a few seconds before light laughter erupts. They stay in each other’s arms, waiting for the rest of the world to catch up. And at that moment, Junsu thinks…
my life is immense.
