pairing jaejoong/yoochun
the first time they met, it was raining torrents. jaejoong made for the train station yoochun sought refuge at. during that time, jaejoong attempted to decipher the set of directions in his hand, reducing his fingernails to a stump and quivering in the frosty agony. yoochun's benevolence got to him in record time as he watches the dirty blond resign. he first handed him his jacket, then yoochun offered to help him direction-wise and only then did yoochun got to know his name; jaejoong.
yoochun had a question of jaejoong's detailed jotted down directions at the tip of his tongue. he had listed every turn and every landmark, yoochun wonders why but a glance at the shivering mess and he decides for the better. by the time he reaches a conclusion as to where jaejoong is headed to, yoochun realizes they are on the same journey. also, the rain had stopped.
"what's your name?" and yoochun had realized he hadn't introduced himself. "i'm sorry if i forgot, but i forget things easily. really forget things." yoochun wonders why he says that but otherwise had a smile in place with a hand held out. "yoochun."
"sounds like anterograde amnesia," changmin says over the phone, "he forgets things as easily as one, two, three be it a significant or insignificant detail." yoochun listens on as he crosses the street, jaejoong's hand in his with the piece of paper long forgotten. yoochun ends the call, gnawing at his lips as he dares a glance at the quirky boy. "we're here," he declares as they stopped in front of a shop with glass panels decorated with a myriad of colours that equates to: colors; your one stop to Music and Harmony.
jaejoong's brows furrowed as he purses those lips of his. yoochun could see him racking his brain, searching for a reason to be here. "it's okay if you don't remember," he took hold of jaejoong's hand once more "we can look for something together."
as yoochun's fingers settled on a keyboard, jaejoong wonders how anyone could be so immersed in music as yoochun was. he hadn't noticed how yoochun's name came into mind so easily. however, he did notice how yoochun took hold of his hand and guided his fingers, teaching him to play simple melodies; pretty melodies.
"so what do you want to do now?" yoochun asks, setting down his heavy box of newly purchased keyboard. he saw the hesitation in jaejoong's eyes and initiates getting coffee, jaejoong agrees.
"it-" jaejoong stops.
yoochun perks, "yeah?"
"it's hard to always keep forgetting, yoochun."
yoochun's steps came to a halt as his name flows past his ears. "say that again. say my name again."
"yoochun."
"you remembered."
"yoochun."
"jaejoong, you remembered my name."
"i know," jaejoong smiles at his incredulous expression, "i don't want to forget anymore."
