JaeJoong is the light in his life.
How cliché – with dragons and princesses and happy endings that seldom end happily – he muses, the text on his lap barely tugging at his interest anymore.
“Min,” the eldest would scold – soft and hard, sweet and tart “Don’t read in the dark.”
His eyes are momentarily blinded – by smiles and hugs and sweet kisses that leave him out of breath – when the lamp on the nightstand flickers on.
“It’s bad for your eyes,” There’s a smile in the older boy’s voice. Addicting – like his cooking and his laughs and his contagious happiness. Changmin can never get enough.
He gives a whine when Jae ruffles his hair on his way out – a touch full of promise and care and tenderness that makes his heart feel things that are too mushy for his taste.
JaeJoong is the light in his life.
