Summary: Mr. Park prefers long lectures. Mr. Jung prefers none. (for dbsk_flashfic @ drabble challenge 12: intersections; also for dbdbyeah/pach_unni)


Yunho fits in his life/ like a piece of puzzle/ that has long been lost and finally found. Yunho isn’t exactly/ the kind of guy he’d fall for (anytime)/ but he could use (something new new) a new perspective/ and sunshine (daisies).

(He is a college professor/ and so is Yunho. He learns (Yunho’s) history/ when he walks in/ on Yunho reading (a book, naturally). Yunho tells him about life.)

So when Yunho calls him (by name)/ he turns around sharply/ tumbles/ falls so slowly/ and stands just as slow. Hello, Mr. Park. The lecture begins. And hello, Mr. Jung.

Can you help me to understand the usage of backslash and brackets that excessive?
I am assuming that a backslash stands before cliché terms/phrases, right?

A slash represents a comma. What about brackets now?!! *headdesk*

the backslash does, as you've said, serve as a comma, while the parentheses (not brackets) are for the unspoken part. they're like thoughts. those were used to make the fic seem like a compilation of snippets of songs or something to that effect.

Thank you for explaining. I actually had to google to find out that in old English writings, a slash is used as a comma :D You see my knowledge? XD

There are still some lines that I did not understand why they have been worded this way, no matter how many times I read. It was a good exercise :D
